I usually drink Sencha green tea, I used loose leaves, and the first time I made myself a cup of tea it was a green color, but now everytime I make one I somehow make it turn slightly orange/darker. What mistakes am I making?

You aren't making any mistakes...as a matter of fact I just made a cup of organic sencha superior that I picked up from Whole Foods and it's top quality. I always get a lighter/orangish color from sencha.
