Will making matcha with cold water kill the flavor? I like green tea cold. Should I make it with hot water and then just put it in the fridge or what?

You can....but I wouldn't. Green tea is quite delicate if made correctly, however, as the leaves will be sat at the bottom of the pot, it will turn quite bitter and nasty.

Someone told me just use hot water, but every package of tea says use boiling water.

boil the water but only half fill the cup. Then put in the teabag/leaves and then fill the cup up to the top with tap water.
