You could try adding a strawberry flavouring syrup to your tea - these flavouring syrups are pretty sweet, so you dont need to add any sugar to them. Attached a link to a webshop selling them below:

It may be too much caffeine without the milk acting as a buffer. Try steeping it for a shorter period of time to make a weaker brew; also try maybe switching to a different type (green is VERY good for you, and has a fabulously delicate flavor).
