For best results, prepare the tea as if you plan on drinking it hot. This will release all the chemicals you need, and--once the bag is cooled enough for use--make sure that bag is warm enough to steam the pores.

If that doesn't...

Chinese Lipton Teabags

I want to tea that doesn't taste as bad as, say, Lipton black tea bags, but I don't want the inconvenience of having to put in the extra effort that loose-leaf tea requires for brewing.

Can I replace tea leaves with tea bags in a recipe?

I am making Chinese Tea eggs. The recipe calls for 2 tbsp black tea, but I only have black tea bags (Lipton). Can I replace the leaves by slicing open the bags and measuring out two tbsp (or more) of its contents? Can I just use it in tea bag...

Give it a go... I would. Trial and error. See how it goes. Or wait till morning and nip to the shops ;)

If you were making one gallon of iced tea how many tea bags would you use?

I am using Lipton black tea.

I use 3 family size tea bags, or 8 regular size tea bags.

I love this stuff! I've been drinking Lipton Cold Brew for several years now, and honestly, it's one of my favorite drinks. All you have to do is soak a tea bag in a pitcher of cold water for a few minutes, add a little sugar according to your tastes (although, really, you could drink it without any) and you're good to go! Although Lipton also offers Cold Brew bags for individual glasses, I find that's kind of a pain, if you drink any real amount. It's much easier to brew an entire pitcher and put it in your fridge, instead of bothering with individual glasses. Good stuff, no additives This product is great. It's amazing all the extra stuff they put in drinks these days. There's nothing worse than grabbing an iced tea and reading the ingredients realizing I should have paid more attention in science class. It's ICED TEA. Why aren't WATER and TEA the only ingredients?! I pop three bags in a pitcher of water and leave for 5 minutes. It's great. Cold Iced Tea in Less Than 30 minutes!! I love these tea bags - you have a pitcher of tea ready to drink (and cold) within 20-30 minutes! Buying in bulk is also a great value for the money.
