If you bought a green tea, green teas don't get very dark and neither do white teas. However, it is better to pour the hot water over the leaf or place it loose in the pot.

Pretty much the same as a tea bag. Drop it in the bottom of the cup, pour hot water over it, let it sit for a few minutes and remove the bag with a spoon.

Question for Loose Leaf Tea Drinkers...?
Green Tea

Howdy. I just switched over from tea bags to an awesome tea infuser, but a good amount of sediment (or smaller tea particles) still find a way through the infuser. Is the "sediment" okay to consume with the last sips? I read somewhere...

The tea dust in the sediment won't hurt you if you don't mind the texture. However, if you have a lot of it, it will continue to release tannins as it brews, which will give you an "off" bitter taste to the tea. I use a very fine mesh...

It's actually easier than you might think.

Terrible. I could have done a better job keeping the tea leaves out of my tea with a spaghetti strainer. Funny-looking but hard-working! I LOVE this little infuser! Nice tea infuser... This tea infuser is nice. Affordable and portable. Handy for making high quality tea for one or at work! I bought this tea infuser recently on a whim so I could have good quality tea at work instead of relying on all the tea bags. Mesh too large and tips over. Received this as a present, and am disappointed. Holey infuser. The Tovolo In-Mug Tea Infuser, Green works well enough. Works like a charm. I had always used the ball type infuser before and it was hard to get those big leaved teas in there without the stems and such keeping it open a bit. Don't Buy This One... Purchased one of these and in less than 6 months of occasional use, with gentle hand washing, it crazed and cracked, on top, in multiple places. Poor for loose tea. I had missplaced my years old nylon cup infuser that worked quite will and decided to get a couple of new ones to try.
