Egcg Green Tea Extract

There is a food supplement in our local drugstore containing 250mg of green tea extract (EGCG) and L-Carnitine 250 mg. There are people I know who actually lost weight gradually from 5 to 10 lbs in 2 weeks. With Diet and Exercise. How does it work?

I just wanted to know if microwaving the green tea bags in the water used to make the green tea will extract more polyphenols (EGCG) and caffeine.

Just the heat from hot water will extrat the EGCGs. It does not matter if it is from a stove or a microwave.

Just make sure the water is not boiling. That is too hot and can damage the tea and you won't get many...

Green tea and white tea are both high in antioxidants. If you "feel" too much caffeine, cut the dose in half. Take it in the mornings. It should make you feel better.

I had one in October.

Also, anyone know if it is okay to have EGCG (green tea extract)? I have the gum.

I had one in Sept, and can now say I am happily 10 weeks pregnant. My doctor told me having one does not mean you will have another. Also, if for some reason you do have a few of them, I believe taking vitamin B12 (or maybe B6 - not sure) can help.
