Decaf Black Tea

I heard that decaf black and green tea still have large amounts of caffeine in it. I also heard that formaldehyde is used to decaffeinate teas. Is this stuff true?

I have never heard of any tea causing miscarriages. I drank tea while pregnant with all three of my children, as did my mom, my aunts, my grandmothers etc. I would not worry about it. Tea is good for you, can't imagine it would hurt the baby.

There is so much conflicting information out there about this and I'm just trying to figure out what's best. I like a warm cup of coffee or tea in the morning with my breakfast and later in the day after dinner. I'm talking about two cups a day...

The only thing that I have heard is to generally stay away from herbal anything. So if green tea is herbal tea, you may want to stick to the black tea.

I understood that tea was a diuretic. Now I hear that the diuretic effect comes from the caffeine. Am I to assume that decaf tea is NOT a diuretic?
