I like Tetley's regular black tea. (UK's Tetley tea) I put milk and no sugar in my tea. Usually semi-skimmed milk. I dunk the tea bag in and out for about 20-30 sec. Just until the color is right. I don't like it too strong. More of a milky tea....

Why do Chinese people call black tea "hong cha" (red tea)? Do different cultures see colors differently?
D.I.Y T.V

My chinese instructor said to me that the color of tea to her was red. She asked why do the British call a red tea (hong cha) black.

It is red when brewed properly, I soppose it's called black because of the actual colour of the tea leaves when dried and processed.

As an avid, British tea drinker, I would definitely say that the most popular tea in Britain is your average, run-of-the-mill tea. You know, the plain teabag, milk and hot water job. Definitely the best as well! With two sugars mind!

Of the English Breakfast, Michael Harney says it "was designed as a simple tea for the average middle-class citizen to start the day." He notes that Earl Grey is one of the best-known teas in the West and says it is "a gateway tea for novice palates." I *love* that particular description because Earl Grey was definitely "a gateway tea" for my own enjoyment of this beverage!

Thanks for the review. How would you compare Harney's Earl Grey to other brands of Earl Grey? Of the main stream brands I've tried I like Twinings the best. (I actually like their Lady Grey better than their Earl) I've never tried Harney's before.
I think you've shared that mug in Christmas' past. It makes me smile every time I see it. My Grandma had a set of those mugs. I don't know what happened to them after she passed away, maybe I'll ask my parents.
